Rhonda,
It is generally considered good etiquette to have our guide dog sit
on the floor in taxicabs and buses. I am of the opinion the floor is the
place for a dog while the seats are for people.

Fraternally yours,
Marion Gwizdala

is allergic. In this case what I do is sit in the back and ask the driver to
move the passengers seat up so my dog can sit on the floor. A lot of times
my drivers have not been able to move the seat up because there of this that
and the other reason so, I just bring a towel and they have the
understanding your dog has to sit on the seat because they can't adjust
everything for you. The towel just avoids conflicts about the dog leaving
fur and dirt . Sometimes I wish they were more accommodating but when it
comes to getting from point A to B I pick my battles.
