[nagdu] having surgery

Hello,

I thank everyone for your comments.  I will only be in the hospital one
night.  I was going to send Filix home.  The only thing is that I haven't
left him even with Fred yet.  
I will be in rehabilitation place for about three weeks.  This is where I
plan to take my dog.
I hate to hear the tale of the dog being killed.  I don't think I can leave
my dog home for three weeks either.

I would be very cautious about taking the dog to the hospital for the
surgery. You have no idea what your dog is doing or who it it is with
while you are asleep. Even with good intentions, you are putting a lot
of trust in people who are virtual strangers and do not understand the
importance of this dog in your life. True story to pass on is about a
person who did take their dog to the hospital and the nurses were
helping care for dog (not their job by the way). Well, at one time the
nurse who had the dog and was taking it out, was called away on an
emergency. An orderly offered to take the dog out. Once outside, this
orderly decided that the dog needed some exercise and let it off the
leash. The dog was killed by a car. Eve
