[nagdu] I was not excepted

Hi Tracy,

I spoke to gentleman who handles the appeals process.

He was the one who went over and signed my denial. also, when I explained my situation and addressed all his concerns, it didn't seem good enough.

He told me that I could email him with the outline of his concerns, but his tone of voice basically told me it would not be met well.

I've applied to another school because of that.

A follow-up phone call might also be a good thing. I figure you've already gone through all the paperwork and all, so what's another email or two? Unless the rejection has made you not want any more to do with GDB. But, as Natasha says, sometimes a field rep gets a weird idea or two, and the guys back at home base may feel quite differently. I've certainly met my share of odd reps, both at GDB and TSE.

The field rep I know who has one has a dog who has chronic uti's. ok worker (I have worked this dog) but I so strongly feel this instructor has come to rely on this average dog in some ways I'm not entirely comfortable with. Like I said, this dog is middle of the average road. The initial purpose of ambassador or dogs was to give first time handlers assistance in identifying what they want in a dog or if working a dog is right for them. It's morphed into something else with this instructor.
>> I actually think highly of this instructor for their vast dog knowledge. Personality and judgment has gotten a little rudder over the time I've known them. Just very different than a lot of the newer on campus instructors these days.
