[nagdu] Shaving/grooming our Dogs

Thanks Darla, Ace is a Yellow Lab and we live in Florida. I did check with
his vet and she has seen no ill effect from the shaving. A #7 still leaves
3/4 to 1 inch in length and he always gets compliments about his appearance.
The groomer made a mistake early on and shaved Ace the same as he did his
pit bull which was too short.

What kind of dog is Ace, Ken/ Shaving generally isn't advised, as the dog's
coat serves a purpose, though I have Roxy's hair around her pads trimmed up
a little to keep from possibly being caught in escalators--she is a back
cross (3/4 lab and 1/4 Golden--otherwise, I wouldn't have a dog with super
long hair which is why I won't accept a golden; they should not be shaved
but their hair is very long and if not groomed eve3ry day looks really bad.

You did mention that before. Have you had any noticeable skin problems doing
that?
