[nagdu] Guide Dog Use at national Convention

Why don't you ask him? Seriously, he may have some good reasons. A good
reason doesn't equal "one I agree with". To answer your question, some dogs
can't handle the convention. Some handlers don't want to bring their dogs
because this allows them to do their own thing without the dog's needs
coming into consideration. Given the price of the convention, I can see why
somebody would make this choice.
It's fine that you feel differently.

Yes, I totally agree with you. If you have a guide dog, why leave hm/her at
home? My boyfriend has a guide dog and usually always leaves him at home and
I don't agree with this. It's ok to leave them home once in a while, but
not all the time.

why have a guide dog if you are going to keep him home. I take my guide dog
every where I travel.

This will be our first national convention with our dogs.
Hopefully it
will go well.

 Hi james,
I will be bringing my guide with me to orlando.
This time it will be a little different because we have been a team for two
years now.
I took her to convention after training.
I will give you the advice that I received.
everyone will tell you what to do, but its your decision ultimately.
If I had someone that would take care of her I would leave her this time.
 But I don't.
So she will be at my side this convention.
Besides I want to see if she can find our school's table again.
 Lol!

 Blessings,
 Sincerely,

 Greetings everyone.
I first would like to express thoughts and pryers to all those affected by
the recent tornados.
Second, Tennessee is organizing a NAGDU state chapter; so please let anyone
that you may know who lives in the Tennessee area to contact me, James, at
901-483-1515, to get them on board withour organization! Thank you everyone!
Finally, I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on the upcoming national
convention in Orlando;keeping in mind the amount of blind travelers and
other service dogs, will you be bringing your guide dog with you to
convention? What are your reasons? I have heard reasoning both ways and
thought I would get everyone's opinion here. I will be at the convention
and hope to meet you who are attending in July.
 Wishing the best from Tennessee,
 James Boehm
