[nagdu] Adding water to food.

Larry,
Are you saying that you leave a food dish full of food out all day? Your dog doesn't just gulp it up?
As soon as I give Pascal the OK to eat, he finishes the food in about a minute.
Now, with pet dogs, I was able to feed them in the morning and they would graze on it throughout the day. But, with a guide dog, I have always fed on a schedule. With my dog, if he had access to the whole tub I keep the food in, he would eat every last bite, then get sick and throw up and eat it all again, LOL!

I never would! Sometimes I'll buy a couple cans of soft food for my dogs as a treat but usually, i keep a full water dish and a full food dish next to each other. When out, I have a fold up dish in case I need it but otherwise, no food. At hotels or such, I feed her rinse out the bowl and fill it with water. Putting water in the food sounds too much like eating mud!

I acc water to Dallas's food so that he doesn't eat it too quickly.
Seeing Eye did not tell me to do this initially. I keep water out for Dallas because if I don't, he won't keep himself hydrated at his scheduled times.
