Doug,
I find it interesting that you say, "I wonder what the so-called
advocacy groups will do -- let me guess, nothing at all!" It seems you fail
to recognize what the NFB and the National Association of Guide Dog Users
have been doing for the past 50 years and, especially, what we have been
doing in only the past few months to make a difference in this issue. There
are those who will readily accept the benefits of our standing on the
barricades when it suits them, and then criticize us when they need a vent
for their frustration over what others do. Keep in mind that these so-called
advocacy groups are made up of members who volunteer their time to make life
better for you! If you are not a member of our organization, take a look at
where your three fingers are pointing as you point the finger of blame at
us!

Fraternally yours,

Marion Gwizdala, President

Indeed, I've listened to several interviews and I'll truly be impressed if
he and all those supporting passengers do more than talk, in other words,
take positive action against the airline and particularly that evil-minded
crew on the plane. Most definitely, the flight attendant responsible for
such stupidity must be fired; no three strikes. The others should at least
receive some form of discipline, like loss of some period of wages.
Finally, the victim should be heavily compensated, like say, 10 free trips
on his airline of choice, paid for of course, by the offending airline. One
more reason to have easy access to some kind of recording device, and use
it. Wonder what the so-called advocacy groups will do--let me guess,
nothing at all.

Doug: Happiness is a warm gun!

: Dear All,
: I listened to the interview and was very impressed with Albert's
: presentation. One thing he said twice is that he "self-identifies as a
blind
: person with a guide dog" which, I assume, means he gives advance notice.
: Though I disagree with this approach, it seems as if this practice doesn't
: really make any difference ... at least not in this case!
