I have a 90 pound German shepherd. He is not quite a long haired German
shepherd however, his hair is longer and thicker than others I have seen.
The $25 a month grooming charge is at a self service dog wash that gives you
all the equipment you require and lets you do all the work. It is more
expensive hear ware I live due to the fact I live in down town Boston. If I
was to go out to the suburbs, or when I was in Minnesota over the summer,
the cost was less. I wash my dog once a month, because I live in the city,
and am constantly riding on public transportation. The city of Boston and
the public transportation we have around hear is by far not the cleanest I
have seen. So, even though I brush my dog, and use a cote conditioner that
eliminates most of the dirt, my dog is quite ripe at the end of the month
when I take him in for a bath.
