As I said in another message in this thread, I am pretty sure that that does
not have anything to do with it. Some of thee schools have chocolate labs.
Those that don't most likely don't simply because there are not any in the
breeding program.

I asked my instructors when I got Hera in the end of 2011. One of the
instructors had worked with guide dogs in around 40 years and he said that
generally, Chocolate Labradors weren't mentally stable enough to become
guide dogs; it was his experience anyhow.
