i!
Here in Alberta, heartworm is negligible to nonexistent. Fleas, tics, and mosquitoes are bigger concerns. I switched Jenny from Revolution to Advantix for this reason. We will see how she does on it next week!

Hi Deanna and All,
My dog takes NexGard, and it works great, although keep in mind that I live in an area where ticks aren't much of a concern, so I haven't really pushed the product to its limits. But, no problems so far, and it has not ever upset her stomach. Also, my dog seems to like the chewable capsule. No, it does not prevent against heart worms, but it is a great alternative to the topical flea and tick treatment, in my opinion and experience.
All Best,
Hindley And Delight, who thinks NexGard is a treat
