Hi all,

I just heard a tasty sounding and easy treat recipe on our local Tv station,
recommended by a dog trainer. And, if you object to some of the ingredients,
don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger! And these are just fun treats to
try. The neat thing is, you and your dog can share them!

Ingredients:
1 cup natural unsalted peanut or almond butter
(You can substitute unsweetened pumpkin puree, or try half peanut butter and
half pumpkin.)
One half cup low fat milk
3 cups rolled oats, uncooked!
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions
Mix milk and peanut butter till well blended. Mix in oats a little at a time
until well incorporated. Whisk or beat honey and cinnamon together in a
small bowl, then add to oat mixture, mixing well. Gently roll into balls,
whatever size you like, but not too large. Do this gently, as this dough is
a bit crumbly. Place the balls on parchment or waxed paper on a pan or tray,
and store in the refrigerator. After they are chilled, you should cover
them. Recipe says will keep in the fridge for a week, and in the freezer for
two months. Of course you would need to thaw them before giving them to
Fido!

Bone appetit!

Sherrill
