OK, so the proof is in the pudding!

I have told my husband for months that Jenny does NOT like to get wet, period. She will guide me around even the tiniest puddles, walks slowly around sprinklers, and goes as fast as I will let her if it's raining outside (she calms down considerably with her rain poncho on).  Hubby has made jokes all summer about using a doggie pool, or taking her swimming, and I have maintained that it will NOT happen because Jenny hates so much to get wet.

Last night, we were playing in the back yard, and hubby was working  around the yard, harvesting vegetables and watering the garden.  We decided to see what Jenny would do with the sprinkler on, so we played games with her favorite ball away from the sprinkler.  Then we threw the ball toward the spray...

The first time she grabbed it, she got wet, and mince-stepped back to us, shook herself off... and then for the next fifteen minutes would only go get the ball when the sprinkler wasn't spraying in that direction... or going around the long way to avoid the sprinkler and get the ball.  Funny girl!
