Sounds like she's going to something that is open to the general public.
Couldn't they not let her in? It'd be like if the church was being used for
voting or for a blood drive right?

Are you afraid they won't let you in? I'd just go and not worry about it.
But yes, I suppose they could tell you that you have to leave and you
wouldn't have any recourse.  But I think they'll be so happy to have you in
and won't even say anything about your
