Hi Ed,

I have heard of it a few times but not so severe; it was really like
they were trying to keep their nails short.
Thank goodness for boots and Mush'er Secret.
Darla & handsome Huck

Subject: Re: [nagdu] benson biting his nails

My second S.E. dog, Gerry (worked 1984-1994) came to me biting his nails.
His medical report from SE said that he had this habbit, and the trainer
could not break him of it. Because of it his feet also got chewed on, and
were sensitive. One winter my wife and I spent a couple days in Boston in
order to see a special exhibit at the Museum of Science, and he was realy in
pain from the salt and other chemicals in the slush. When we got into the
museum, I took him into a stall in a restroom, flushed it two times, and
then put one foot at a time in the hopper and flushed. When we got home we
bought him dog boots. Back them they were not standard issue from S.E.
