[nagdu] Picking up in the Snow?

I try to do the best I can to pick up Motley's poop in the snow. 

I try to feel the difference to see what's snow and what's poop.

Hi all,
This is kind of a gross topic, but everyone handler has to do it.  
Has anyone found a way to independently pick up poop in the snow? 
It's easy for me to do when there's ice, but it's difficult in 
snow.  I find myself picking up snow until my hands are numb, 
then I just get sighted assistance because it's easier that way.
