hi there.
i would let his system rest for 24 hours.  water only.
then you can try him on a little bit of rice tomorrow morning.  don’t give him to much at first.  you can add some probiotics to the rice or, a teaspoon of plain danon yogurt.  then, later on try again with mostly rice and the yogurt again but, you can add boiled ground turkey or beef if you like. 
also, plain canned pumpkin helps firm up stools.
let him have as much water as he wants.
