[nagdu] GDB Evaluation Today

Amanda,

Can you be more specific about your street crossing skills? I'm asking
more out of curiosity than anything. People seem to have a variety of
definitions of good street crossing skills, and some are very generous
about telling those who do things differently how bad they are. /lol/

What others have said about street crossing with a guide dog is very
true, especially if you have a tendency to veer. The dog's traffic
training is also a big safety bonus. It's important for the handler to
be able to judge traffic to know when to safely cross to the best of
her/his ability, but most guides are pretty savvy about refusing to
cross if it's not safe. I really like that with all the quiet cars on
the road. /smile/

That went very well. Then on the way back from there we did the Juno walk. I just loved it. We went so fast and it was comfortable. I got the hang of it before we got home. He did the same thing with Christine afterwards obviously. That’s really all it was.
