[nagdu] Guide-dogs and sports

Raven,

I learned to jog with Mitzi in harness, but I prefer letting her run on
leash, unless we're somewhere she can be off-leash safely. She can run
at her speed and will cross my line of travel so that I can hear her
bells and stay on course. If she has a squeaky ball, she will squeak it
as she crosses, so I can keep a straight line on a wide open field. She
does that when we're hiking, too, so it's very handy.

Jogging with her in harness is also a little hard on my posture, I've
noticed, so I use the leash. She'll give me direction when I need it.
She does tend to want to run at her own fast and wild pace, so when we
haven't practiced, that's a pain. But once she settles down, it's great
fun and exercise.
