[nagdu] update on my wrist

Thanks so much for the pointers but my biggest problem is Siri cutting me
off when I am dictating a text message. Do you encounter this happening when
texting? 
	How in the world are you feeling? I pray you are improving daily and
thanks so much for all you do in managing the NAGDU List. I must admit that
I do get very tired of certain individuals posting over and over when they
don't really have much to say. You are very patient and diplomatic. Will you
be in Orlando for the National Convention? I should arrive on Tuesday in
time for the NAGDU meeting. 

Thanks again and if you have any more pearls of wisdom pertaining to Siri
and texting it would be much appreciated.

Kathy. 
You have to go at Siri's pace. So first, tell her you want to "send an
email" then she'll ask to who, and you tell her. Then she'll ask for the
subject and you tell her. Then she'll prompt again for your message. Pause
and she'll ask if you're done.

The trouble I have with Siri is that she cuts me off in the middle of
dictating a message almost constantly. I do not speak slowly but instead
make certain that the words to her are being said quickly. Any suggestions
about this would be much appreciated and do feel free to write to me
privately.

Siri on the Iphone is good at dictation. Marsha uses an Iphone so my guess
is that's what she's doing. The trick is to speak as you'd write and that
can be difficult.

	My goodness! You are really going through a tough time. I am frankly
amazed that you are able to dictate your e-mail messages so accurately. How
do you use a dictation method of doing this as I have no idea.

hi list,
For all of those who emailed on list and off list about my wrist. It was
very much appreciated, including the prayers.
So today I went to the orthopedic doctor. And it was confirmed that my wrist
is broken. I was so sure that it was not. But that's to show how much I
don't know. :-) currently I am in a brace for two weeks. After the two weeks
I'll go back to the doctor and have more x-rays done. If I'm healing I'll be
able to stay in the brace if I'm not I'll go to the cast. Of course this
still means that I cannot type, cannot sign, ASL, read braille, use my
braille  display, and numerous other things. 
Thank you to all those who wrote about tips and or tricks. For working your
dog with one hand. If any others have any other tips that would be much
appreciated too.
Again I ask your patience with me. As all of my emails are using dictation.
And yes it is granted that I will at least mess up once or twice.
