[nagdu] Managing Groceries and Other Large Purchases

Dear Sherri,

I sure don't blame you for that; we don't have anything like that
here, but there are sites for staples, so I'm going to work on that man of
mine again.
	When I was younger, I'd pull a full-sized grocery cart--from the
front--from the grocery store to my house; you have to be very careful, as
you don't want to run over your dog's feet.
I just saw a listing for a "shopping trolley" from this small
business; it can carry up to 55 pounds of whatever.
I also used to carry, from time to time, a large bag of dog food
home, but I'm not about that anymore; I have nothing to prove, so a friend,
who is paid, takes me to pick up the pet foods for the house, but I would
really rather do online and save people for things that truly cannot be done
online.

I've been shopping online for years. I've always hated grocery shopping, and
online is the only way I can barely tolerate it. I even turned down a chance
to work on site for my job, rather than from home, because it would have
meant moving to an area where there was no available online grocery
shopping.

Hi Nicole,

Wish I could talk my husband into that; with staples, such as toilet
paper, dog food, etc., it is probably cheaper and a lot less weight on these
old shoulders. <grin> Darla & Happy Huck

Is shopping online an option? I do this for several items, including
groceries and Lexia's dog food.

Hi,
My roommate and I bought laundry baskets that have wheels and come with
lids. These have been really helpful, especially when we had to buy dishes
for our apartment. We also use cloth grocery bags. We have about 7 or 8.
When I grocery shop by myself, I bring one of the laundry baskets. It makes
carrying groceries home easier, whether you have a nosy dog or not.
