Way cool, Danielle; you'll love working with a dog, and I'm so pleased they are being trained to meet additional needs.
I have known the Rox'e lady for a long time; I can't imagine her not getting out and doing whatever she wants to do.

I still have pretty good hearing. I would hear another dog coming. It's certain sounds I don't hear such as cars with mucuffflers. I'll still have to have help sometimes crossing really busy streets but I can cross the streets on my campus safely without assistance but busy 4 ways are out. I'm getting a Special Needs dog from Guiding Eyes for the Blind to accommodate my hearing loss as well. These dogs undergo an extra 2 months of training to address special needs.

Not that the dogwill. dothis. but the dog will not move forward if there is an unknown danger to me because of my inability to hear. My Dad said that we could go around to our neighbors and explain that they need to keep their dogs under control. I do not live in city limits so that is why dogs are not on leash. Most of the dogs qobably won't attack my dog. However, there is always the possibility.
