I'm glad you had a lovely vacation. My husband is familiar with that
hotel and it is a great place to stay.

The hotel staff at the Izaak Walton Inn was amazing with me and Jenny; no complaints or concerns... except when Jenny barked incessantly at one of the housekeeping staff... I apologized profusely! She also wasn't super comfortable in the hotel bar - my thoughts are that she had little to no experience with bars and alcohol (her puppy raisers were an older couple, and I'm not a big drinker myself).

We did do a bit of walking along the road by the hotel, explored the gift shop, etc., a little more every day. We also went into Whitefish and did some shopping, and Jenn got a bit confused because of the layout of the crosswalks. We also ran into a dog tied up outside a store. Jenny and the dog tried to say hello, but I gave her the "over" command (keep to the left) and that redirected her back to guide work. In stores and restaurants she did great! Whitefish is a really doggie town, and there's signs about "dogs welcome" everywhere!

In Lethbridge, we met an old friend of my husband's, and Jenny did flawless guide work in the mall (something we've sometimes struggled with in unfamiliar places). The restaurant gave me an extra water glass and a towel so I could set out a water bowl for Jenny... she was incredibly grateful!

We bought a new bag of dog food because crossing the border into the USA it needs to be unopened and clearly marked. I'm glad I had everything just in case, but I had nothing to worry about!
