What?  Why should she ask for an accommodation in the first place? She has
worked with a guide dog before, but if she wishes to do so, I don't have an
issue, but sometimes, if you make noise, you draw attention you might not
want.

Julie,
Your best option would be to bring this to your supervisor.  It is still an
obligation on your part, and although you did request for your previous
guide, this is not your previous guide nor this is the same supervisor.
This way, your backend is covered and it is documented.

I actually agree. You don't tell someone when you are getting a new cane. If
they ask what is going on, then you can explain, but, sometimes, giving
advanced notice just gives people an opportunity to make trouble. Like you
said, it's not like you are going to have both dogs at work at once.

personally, i would just show up with a dog.  but, that's just me.  it's
none of anybody's concern how my dog is being trained, by whom, or whatever.
but, that's just me.
legally, it's a guide dog so, i can have it there with me.
