[nagdu] Writing a blog

Hahaha, that's too funny. Lexia is on the smaller side of the size spectrum
for labs, so people sometimes ask me if she is full lab. Occasionally, I
will jokingly say that she is 110% lab.

I sometimes get the one about who takes care of your dog for you. Also, that
dog takes such good care of you, that one irks me, LOL.
About dog breed, people always ask if Pascal has golden in him, since his
fur is rather long, thick, and wavy for a lab. But, he is full lab. His is
also a very big dog, at 80 pounds, and he is tall also. So, people tend to
be scared of him. I was on an elevator the other day and a man got in, he
said, "Wow, there's a horse in here!" I believe he was joking, but I often
do call Pascal my little horse.

About misconceptions:
Is he a seeing eye dog? Or Is he a leader dog?
Hate that question! I always say he's from a different school and explain
that guide dog is the generic term.
What is your dog's name?
My stock response is Celestial Seasonings. It's a joke among me and my
friends after reading a story about a golden retriever named Lipton.
After my dog stands up from a long nap under my desk: Your dog looks tired.
Um no, I think he looks like he just woke up.
Is your dog always working? or Does he ever get to play?
Wow, your dog doesn't even look at me when I talk to him!
Who takes care of your dog for you?
Can I give your dog a chip, doughnut, insert nonsensical food item?

The questions about dog breed are not as stupid as you might think.
There are people who sincerely do not know which characteristics are
specific to which dog breed.
Please also talk about inappropriate behaviors. Petting working dogs, making
kissing, whistling, or attention-getting noises, and even grabbing any of
the equipment to offer so-called "assistance."
