[nagdu] Coconut oil WAS Re: Ear Infections

I personally advocate for natural health care, and using methods that
work with the body and promote the body to heal itself. Steroids are
not necessary. I would not even want to use them as a last resort. It
doesn't matter if you're using them for 7 days or longer, everything
counts.
Also, the vets do not try to keep you out of their office. They want
you to keep coming back, and back, and back again. I prefer to take
care of my dog in a way that I have 100% control over what goes into
his body. I aim to educate myself so that I know how to treat acute
and chronic issues independent of someone who is miseducated, and
pushes toxic medicine. There is nothing wrong with using coconut oi,
acv, zymox, witch hazel, or any natural product for ear infections. A
prescription from the vet is absolutely not necessary.
I'm not saying never go to the vet, but you definitely don't need to
go to see about an ear infection. You know it's infected, deal with
it. And it's wiser to deal with it in a nontoxic way--your dog's
immune system will reap the benefits.
