I am very sorry to hear about this. I think most of us, who are normal, have had a guide not work out at some point in our guide dog career. Its too bad the school would not work with you.
Also, unless you want to leave, your more than welcome here. Your not the first, who is between dogs, who is not choosing not to use a dog at the moment, or who has decided to to go the owner training route. You have done nothing, so you stay. Which I am assuming you want to do, right?
Good luck and keep us updated on what you decide to do for a guide. Perhaps a school change is in order, I don't know. *shrug*
