If you check with your vet, you should be able to find out if your Guide's current chip meets the standard, and how much it will cost to replace it.

Also keep in mind that some countries require two microchips.

Hi! So I am not sure what exact country yet; I'm looking at g3nelal EU
regulatioms for now. This is for a summer study abroad plan, but I'll
update when I know about a specific country.

I know my guide already has a microchip but I have no idea if it meets
the standdards.

For those who have traveled before, what school did you get your dog
from, if you don't mind me asking? Does it cost a lot to get a new
chip?
