[nagdu] reason for naming stuff, and a vote.

haha, in all seriousness...naming a puppy is, in my oppinion, one of the most important things you can do to your dog. I mean I know i'm stating the obvious, but it's late, so cut me some slack. :)
A lot of people that have working dogs especially if their dogs compete in shows, usually have dogs with short names. This makes it easy to call. Some people like a dog with a one sylable name because it's like, (boom) "name" (boom) "sit). it's quick, and they're not spending 1.8 seconds saying their name.  
That's just how important i take names.  If i have a dog that's just a pet, i'll be a little lax on the naming.  I don't think any of my dogs have ever had a name that was longer than two sylabols, accept my childhood family dog Penokio.  When i was trying to pick a name for my dog, I tried to find a suitable japanese name, since my dog was a japanese/american breed, but all of those names were 3 sylabols, and a 3 sylabol name and a command was a mouthful.


I love the name Hoshi. It was even on my list of dog names before I picked Zion, but Hoshi (even though it is a japanese girl name) sounded too much like a guy name.  

okay, i'm done rambling.  Onto my second favorite names...
