Well, Tina, you did say it was an express jet, so
that means you got to express your displeasure right? Sounds like truth in
advertising:)

Subject: [nagdu] Dealing with airline personnel

Hello Everyone- I traveled to Colorado Springs CO last week and my trip
going was uneventful for the most part. However, on my return trip home, I
encountered some issues with my dog. I was traveling on an express jet so,
there was some concern that Karlie would be to big to fit on the plane. I
was told that she was to big and wouldn't fit. My first thought was "WTF"! I
preceded to explain to the airline staff person, that Karlie traveled on the
same kind of jet coming, and it was not an issue. After some strong
discussion, she relented, but she asked me what breed was Karlie and how
much did she weigh? I asked what did any of that have to do with me
traveling with my seeing eye dog. She replied that the airlines were
required to keep a record of the breed and weight of all pets traveling on
the aircraft. At that point, I was like really!. Nevertheless, Karlie and I
did get on the plane and did return home safely!
