Hi Pam, Debby Phillips here.  It depends.  Sometimes I follow, 
but if it's my husband I walk ahead, and he walks in the 
"instructor" position and gives me directions, like "At the 
corner turn right".  But I also might just heel my dog and go 
sighted guide so that I can have a conversation.  I've also had 
my dog follow, like in a store when someone who works there is 
showing me where a product is, or something like that.  Hope this
