I know that this free eye exam thing is only for program trained dogs, or at least it was last I looked. I did want to mention, for anyone close to New Orleans, that the eyevet who took care of my retired guideBrissy, will see all Service or guide dogs for free, no matter who trained them or which month.
If anyone needs the information, please let me know.

> The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

But the more I thought about it I wasn't sure how long it would take for the Eye Care For Animals would get back to me and I wanted to make sure I got an appointment scheduled for Gipp for May before there weren't anymore openings available.

This will be the first time that Gipp and I have participated in this free eye exam program for service animals.
>>
>> I have a few questions though. Since Gipp and I never participated in this before I know that the eye exam it self is free but do Ihave to pay for the office visit? Take care.
