Hi Jennifer, well, when the pups return to the schools for training it would be very difficult for them to stay with the puppy raisers.  Some raisers live an hour or more away from the school, for instance.  Not only that but when the people who are doing the training get their string of dogs, they become responsible for feeding, grooming, playing with their string of dogs, plus the training that the dogs go through.  Before there were puppy raisers, the dogs were basically raised in a kennel environment.  They do much better now than they did back then.    Debby and Nova
