[nagdu] process of getting a guide dog from leader dog

John, 
I would think doing a bus route is independent travel, unless you are talking about Paratransit or other door-to-door or curb-to-curb transport. 
I take the fixed route bus on about half the routes I do, and my dog gets plenty of work.
