Deanna,
You need to get him into the vet, and have them run a chem and cbc. This will give you his kidney values. This is, in my experience, not normal.
He could also have something called water diabetes, which is not the same as the more familiar sugar diabetes we all know about. With water diabetes, the dog is unable to concentrate its urine, so drinks and pees frequently.
Good luck, please keep us posted.

At work, when he is sleeping on his bed, he can go about 4 hours without having to relieve, but when he is actively moving around he needs to go more frequently. Many times, we've been halfway through a shopping trip and he indicates that he needs to relieve. So, I will have to stop what I'm doing and hurry up and rush him outside. At restaurants, if he's been lying down for more than an hour, I have to pretty much rush outside as soon as I get up from the table. Sometimes, we have to stop mid-route and allow him to have a potty break. Luckily, he only has had one accident, and that was a few days after coming home and he had a UTI.
> Am I giving him too much water? Is this normal for his age? Was I too spoiled by my last dog? LOL. Should I be worried that it may be some type of health problem? The Vet and trainers did not seem too concerned. But, this is affecting our daily routine at times.
