Someone brought up on the previous thread that the guiding harness
should be sign enough that my dog is working.

I sincerely believe that people do not notice the harness because of a
couple recent experiences.
At LDB, an email is sent out to all the staff on the 2nd or 3rd day of
every class, telling staff not to walk strange dogs through the campus
since the clients are doing first walks with their dogs on the
property. I don't apply that to using my dog on-campus.
Twice now, I worked on that particular day the email was sent out, and
several LDB staff (not instructors) scolded me for having a strange
dog out and about. I just say, "He's my guide dog," and go about my
business. On both days, these people responded with an "Oh," of
realization, as if they had not noticed he was my guide dog.
Unbelievable.
