[nagdu] Guide dog seminars or camps

One idea I can suggest is considering the Leader Dog AMP program which is
their Accelerated Mobility Program for brushing up on white cane skills.
They have this program right at LD, the student interacts with all of the
students with dogs, eats with them, and is a part of them, but just doesn't
go out and work directly with them. However, they are constantly exposed to
the new dogs with their handlers, the life in a training program, and even
get to try out a dog at the end of their session which generally lasts about
a week. If she is interested, contact Leader Dog or a District Leader Dog
Rep.

Steve

Subject: [nagdu] Guide dog seminars or camps

Hi everyone
I have a friend who's considering getting a guide dog, but she's not a
hundred percent sure.
She asked me if I knew of any guide dog related seminars or camps, where she
could get more information, or even feel what's it like walking with a dog.
I really don't know of any, but I told her I would ask in here...
So yeah, if any of you knows of any such things, please share.
Thanks.
