There is an on line dog food company that gives discounts or used to.  Help 
me out...I've forgotten which company it is.  also on line dog food 
companies might have better prices than your local stores and you don't have 
to worry about carrying the stuff home.  And please whatever you do, please 
don't feed your dog Old Roy.  It's cheap, but you will more than make up the 
difference in vet bills.

Hi Helga, I would call vets in your area and ask if they do give
a discount for guide dogs.  Some may allow payment plans, too.  I
have not heard of pet stores giving discounts for dog food, but
that certainly is possible.  Can your family help at all? Will
