[nagdu] Combo dogs

I find this a very interesting topic as my dog was originally intended
to be trained as a non-guiding service dog. I agree that intelligent
disobedience seems to be what sets guide dogs apart from most other
service dogs. Different temperments also seem to be more desirable for
different types of work. My dog was apparently career changed because
he kept trying to guide people. He has more initiative than is
probably desirable for a dog who is trained to retrieve dropped items,
open doors, alert to sounds etc. He also can be a bit stubborn and
likes to think of ways to get around the rules.
