Hi Amanda, I can't answer for every school, but Seeing Eye has no 
problem with it.  They just want to know so when they're doing 
the matching process it's part of the information they use.  But 
a lot would depend on the pet dog, too.  Does your pet dog have 
problems with other dogs, or does that dog pretty much like other 
dogs? How old is your pet dog? If the dog is elderly how will the 
dog adjust to a new dog coming in? Just some questions you need
