Howdy y’all,

Looks like today’s product review day. First a new stand from Fopydo on the KNFB Reader list, and now this…

I saw this post on Boingboing, a site that has all sorts of things on it, and someone recommended these pet nail clippers. That is, nail clippers to clip pets’ nails, not a nail clipper which is your pet. As I’d been looking to maybe replace this set I’ve had for the past, I dunno, 15, 16 years, I gave it a look. At leass than $20 and claiming to be professional quality, ordered from Amazon. Here’s a link:

After a lot of struggle, growling, and wrestling, I managed to clip Fiona (the terrier)’s front toenails. Required very little pressure. These things look pretty wicked, they’re pretty big, but they have nice easy grip handles. There’s a nail guard to prevent you cutting too much, and you can move that out of the way if you don’t want it. These clippers are the scissors type, not the guillotine type. I like this type much better; my other pair is the same, but a lot smaller. The handles remind me a bit of a pair of pliers. LOL

One nice touch is that there’s a nail file hidden in one of the handles. You can pull that out and use it to file the rough edges, and then put it back in the handle for safekeeping.

At its current price, I’m pretty happy with these.
