[nagdu] pace and pull in harness and a bored dog

Oh yes, I definitely notice my dog has a lighter pull and slower pace
on familiar routes, especially if they aren't too challenging. I have
also found targeting and treats does help keep my dog interested.
Having your dog target certain objects, even if it is simply the curb
or door to the building, might keep her interested. Rewarding her with
treats could make these walks more enjoyable for her if she is food
motivated. If she doesn't already know certain skills that you might
find useful such as finding a seat, perhaps you could use this time to
teach her. Maybe you could alternate working her outside and inside
the building.

I'm not sure what toys you've tried, but I find most dogs like
nylabones (particularly the flavored varieties) and kongs with some
moistened kibble or peanut butter frozen inside.
