That's about right. I have had days where Holly and I have walked all over
town and I've baught a bottle of water somewhere thinking she'd drink like a
sailor! She usually drinks about half a bottle of water. Standard size.

Subject: [nagdu] Water
My vet told me something interesting yesterday. A dog drinks about an ounce
of water per pound of body weight. A 60-pound dog is fine drinking about 2
quarts of water a day, 7-8 cups. I didn't know that. I guess I never
thought about it.
Krokus has been drinking a lot lately, and having some accidents in the
house if I forget to take him out every 2 or 3 hours, so I took him to the
vet. His urine sample looked OK, so now we're supposed to give him as much
water as he wants and keep track how much he drinks, so we can tell if it's
actually a lot. It is hot here, so that could be all it is. Or not; we'll
see. It's a bit complicated by having 2 dogs, but Ben is a camel and
doesn't drink much.
