[nagdu] Periodically not keeping food down

Maybe every 4-5 months or so, 3 times now, Ben tosses up his breakfast a few
hours after he's eaten it. We don't feed him that night, then give him the
bland food from the vet a few days, very slowly mixing back in his regular
food. If we go too fast, he gets sick again, and we start over. When this
first happened, he was eating Cannidae. I thought maybe it didn't agree
with him as well as it used to, so I switched to Great Life grain-free
chicken, but it's still happening. He's been to the vet after an episode
and gotten an anti-nausea shot, but that's it.

Everything else if fine-good appetite, reasonable energy for an old dog,
stool fine, drinking fine. Just, every so often, he can't keep his
breakfast down.

He takes walks with my husband, and it's possible he could pick up something
without my husband noticing. But he wasn't really a scavenger in his
working life, so I don't know.

I just wonder why this is happening more often now. I wonder if the food is
too rich, or something. Though I don't want to give him low-quality chow,
either. If I had more confidence in the vet's knowledge about food, I'd ask,
but I don't.
