For me, in the particular situation I was talking about, light duty meant 
only working Monty for the absolute essentials.  He happened to have the 
nail episode on a Friday morning.  On Saturday I was scheduled to talk to 
the Boy Scouts about guide dogs.  I had a ride to that, so he just guided 
into and out of the building.  Sunday we stayed home. I didn't go for any 
leisure walks for a few days.  I did work him indoors some, but stayed away 
from pavement as much as I could.  My thinking was that the pavement works 
somewhat like sandpaper for the toenails.  Usually that's fine, less 
clipping, but I didn't want the tip to be scratched off and it start 
bleeding again.
