[nagdu] Why, or why not?

Maryanne and all.
I do like having a dog.
However, I always tell people
to make sure they are going to
get a dog for them. Not for
anyone else. I also talk
about the responsibility that
goes along with with having
the dog. This is what
concerns me about the same
length of programs for
everyone including first time
handlers. That is just my
opinion. Which isn't worth
much. Smile! I have the idea
that I have a tool box which
includes things that I use in
my life whether it is using a
cane, dog, slate and stylus,
and other things to accomplish
my daily tasks. Pj is not a
GPS. She is a dog at the end
of the day. You can't take
the dog out of the guide or
service dog. Have a blessed
day.
Best regards,
Melissa R Green and Pj

Using a cane and dog are two
very different travel
techniques. When I use a cane
I find everything and that
frustrates me. When I use my
dog, the dog guides me around
all of that stuff. I prefer a
dog but can use either
technique. I know what
everyone means about people
thinking the dog takes care of
me. I explain over and over
that I am in charge and my dog
is a way to get around.
