[nagdu] Portable crate

Hi Rox. Oh, ok I understand now. By the way, I just wanted to ask you, where 
do I get this regular wire or airlinecrate? Meaning in what specific store. 
Do I get it in the same site of the portable crate that you sent to the 
list. And one last question,  do you think it would be alright to leave a 
puppy in the crate by himself when I'm in my Karate class? I'm just 
wondering since when I'm in my Karate class I'm not going to be looking at 
him. I'm going to be paying attention to my Sensei.  I will definitely leave 
a ball with water , food, and a toy, for the time I'm in class. Is this a 
good idea? Just wondering. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks so much and

Hi Helga,
It will work for your Karate class for sure.  I personally have a regular 
wire or airline crate for home use.  This is for two reasons.
1. I don't want to have to haul the folding crate around, like from work 
back home again.
2. The portable crate is made of tent-like material and if used daily would 
probably not last over a year.
The crate will move with your dog, there's a funny story we still tell at 
work about this.
I'm Deafblind and my dog is a hearing dog as well as a guide.  Several years 
ago, I was working Gracy, a female Border collie.  I put her in the crate 
for a minute while I helped a coworker move some shelves.  And that's when 
the fire alarm went off.  So here comes Gracy, in the crate, somehow walking 
along, inside the crate and getting it to move.  And the only thing my 
coworkers could see was this bright red box, moving itself down the hall 
rocking back and forth, and moving forward.  Nobody was sure what it was, 
and they were trying to catch the crate but she was speeding right along. 
Eventually, she found me to alert me to the fire alarm, and there were about 
4 people behind her, trying to figure out what it was in the red box.
All this to say that if your dog is really determined, it will be able to 
move the crate, lol.
