[nagdu] Reasons for choosing a particular guy dog school

I'm an owner trainer and there are several reasons why.
The first is that I like dog training. Ok, I love! dog training! It's my hobby and my joy. Some people sew, others garden, I train dogs. It's something that is challenging and enjoyable.
Also, not many programs out there accept Deafblind people who use ASL, and out of those programs, many do not give ownership. I attended a program before I started training my own, and the biggest lesson I took from that experience is, I will never attend another program which will not allow me to own my dog.
I am a control freak. I feed a prey model raw diet, and believe in natural rearing and clicker training. There are not programs which do these things.
I do dog sports. I have done, at one time or another, agility, herding, bikejoring, canicross and pet therapy with my dogs. Not all my dogs do all these things but my border collie herded and my first lab did agility, and Soleil is doing joring/urban mushing with me. When I had program dog, they freaked out when I told them I was doing agility with my guide, because they had this crazy idea that my dog would start jumping over obsticles instead of guiding me around them. I do not want to have to justify my choices to do dog sports to a program.
I can use whatever I want with my dog, training method, equipment, whatever.
So that's why I do what I do.

I'll start by answering my own question, I went to the Seeing Eye because I like their ownership policy. I had also attended a couple of their free breakfast at national conventions and thought the people seemed really nice. I'm looking forward to everyone's replies!
