Except for when the tabernacle, if ever, is open to the public.

Except for the tabernacle, I think...I once heard that the tabernacle or
temple in Washington, DC, had a policy of not allowing guide dogs because
of possible allergies and what was described as "the peace and harmony"
necessary in the place.
Has anyone heard that as well?

The LDS Church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) does have a
policy to allow access to folks accompanied by service animals in chapel
buildings, including when church services are taking place.
Otherwise, I don't think it would matter that your local LDS Church allows
access to the Boy Scouts, as they are likely an exempt organization as well,
being a private club. In other words, if a church hosts the Boy Scouts, it
probably doesn't effect their ADA status.
