[nagdu] Uber and the ADA

It is not a pleasant experience, and I am grateful they didn't try bribing me with a peace offering. But I would say that it is worth a shot; just build in a little extra time. I think all together I waited for twenty minutes and I have often spent that much time awaiting a cab. It is rather humiliating having the experience, but I don't currently expect to no longer use them.

Marianne,
I agree with you here. I have been wanting to try Uber for a while, but after reading all of these issues, I am not so sure I want to anymore. I especially do not want to schedule a ride to some place I desperately need to be to on time, if I do try them it will be to a place where I can allow a little extra time in case something happens.

I am going way out on a limb here. If Uber drivers keep denying rides to people with disabilities I believe everyone with a disability should refuse to use them for transportation. I believe we are large enough number to put a hurt on Uber. I love Uber and want them to succeed but they have to put a stop to this type of discrimination.
We must all stand together against this type of treatment.
