[NAGDU] Harness handles

Kerri:

I also have a dog from Pilot and I also hate their harness handles. For
those of you who don't know, our handles just wrap around the D-Ring and
have to be pinched together with a pair of pliers. Kerri is right that it
takes a lot of strength to do this. I prefer a handle that I can take off
when traveling, especially when the dog has to fit under a seat or in small
spaces. The only handle I have tried was from Bridgeport Equipment. I did
not like that one because it went on with leash style clips that twisted and
flopped around too much. Eva does not have much pull to the harness so with
the clips moving around so much it was more difficult to follow her
correctly.

Yes, that's exactly the kind of handle with the release clips that I would
like. And, although I would prefer a trigger connector as Buddy stated, a
leash clip would work also at this point. I have never seen the kind of
handles that Pilot has these days. I liked the ones from the seeing eye,
where the end of the handle had threads in it, like you described, and that
is better than what I have, which is the metal pieces on each end that
someone has to manhandle to uncrimp and spread apart the end to get the
handle off. My husband just had to have his handle changed last week and
pilot sent him a new body, so we had to get some help removing the handle
from the current handle, and it was such a pain. So thank you for the ideas.
I'll definitely be looking into that. Appreciate you both.
Kerri
